Antenna, harmonics, and VSWR

If I have an antenna for a VHF portable and that antenna's center frequency is 155 MHz would it be safe to use it on a portable transmitting in the mid 460s since 465 is the third harmonic of 155? Or does it not work like that? I don't have any equipment to test the VSWR of the antenna. I want to keep the reflected energy down to avoid damaging the transmitter.

If its a 1/4 wave whip it usually matches close enough on the 3rd harmonic. The radiation pattern will not be optimal on the 3rd harmonic.

My home made 3 element hand held 437.8 for ISS down worked much better than expected for todays ISS school pass on 145.8. Receive only but I had thought about building a 145. 8 and now I don't need to.
