Antenna Help Needed

I have a helical antenna that was originally designed for 1.8-2.0 GHz. I'd like to tune it down to L-Band (1540MHz). See the attached pic. 11 turns, 2" diameter, 1.5" between turns.

Interesting project.
Do you have a NanoVNA?
If not, what other test gear have you got?

What LNA are you using?

Also what's the end goal?
Have you tried using it for what you need as it is?

Right now I have an LNA that is tuned for 1090 ADS-B, nothing for 1.5. Also, no test equipment other than a couple of SDRs and my Icom receiver.

It might do the job well enough to get you going?

Yea, not great.

You basically have to make a new one a little larger in diameter but with the same pitch.
