Antenna Help

I just got a SDS 200 and does anyone have any suggestions for a good outside antenna and I was wondering if a cellphone antenna would work?

A good general purpose antenna that will cover all the frequencies the SDS-200 will receive is the discone. Discone Antennas | DX Engineering Look at the ones that cover from 25 Mhz to at least 1300 Mhz.

Mount it as high as you can get it...

I have my SDS200 connected to a Diamond D-130. I monitor everything from low band to 1.2 gigahertz. Works well.

Really hard to beat a discone for wide frequency range coverage and they look cool too

Thanks everyone for your help but I just wanted some input on these new scanners but I went old school and I found a good used Radio Shack Discone put it 3 foot above my roof with 20 foot of rg8 and that's a good start now if I can figure out all the settings I need for p25 phase 2
