Antenna help

Hi all

I have a Pro-94 scanner and I am inbetween 2 counties and my reception is not very good. I recently got one of those 800 MHz rubber duck antenna and I still get bad reception. One of the counties is 800 Mhz trunked and the other one is EDACS. I also bought one of those mag-mount antennas and still cant get reception. Does anyone have any ideas about what would be the best antenna for my situation?

Is this used portable, mobile, in your house ?

For a car, one of those old 5dB gain cell phone antennas work great for 800MHz. For a house, some sort of outdoor antenna will help.
