I travel full time so I never know what I'll be listening to or what frequencies they will be on. For me the stock works and is convenient (not overly long). I enjoy listening to what I do get. I do have a couple Diamond antennas for more specific use if I am more off grid. Just last week there was a high boy with hay that rolled over on 50 and caught on fire in Colorado miles from any town. Kudos to the firemen who got it and the small wild fire out. Closed the road for 3+ hours. I listened to the entire thing including some CBers. I had the stock antenna on.
