Antenna Issues

Hi guys, I have a pro-83 that I was getting poor reception with inside my house. So I went out a and bought a telescopic antenna from the shack and it didnt really improve my reception all that much. I have found a snoop antenna on ebay, anybody have any experience with these or tell me if I would be wasting my money? Or better yet suggest an antenna that will give me good reception while staying inside my house. One other "problem" I noticed is when I have my ac adapter plugged in charging my scanner I get quite a bit more static in the feed, any answers on that? Any input is appreciated guys, nothing like having a place like this with people who dont mind sharing their expertise with some of us newbies.

Dont mess with the snoop antenna, as others will tell ya. Sounds like you would be much better served by an external antenna...........Hoser

As hoser said, to get an antenna outdoors or perhaps in the attic would improve ur reception... Depending on what you are listening too cand etermine the best antenna for ya
