I am looking for an antenna mast that is light weight 30 to 40 feet and something i can put up and take down quick and easy and something inexpensive less than $80 if possible. I will be mounting it to the side of my travel trailer and will be putting a lightweight pvc vertical antenna on it.
If anyone can send me a link or any info i would greatly appreciate it

I recently bought a Rohn 30ft pushup mast from Texas Towers in Plano, TX and it was in the $80 range picked up in person. They are a big outfit and get huge shipments that save on their shipping costs. If you can find a similar store in your area that's the best bang for the buck. Small stores that only carry a few would have to jack the prices way up to cover their shipping.

Get a piece of top rail for chain link fence at Lowe's or Home Depot. They are 21' long ( or you can get two 11' sections) and conveniently have a tapered 1' swedge on one end that fits a mast mount quite nice and snug. They are easily put up and down in minutes, and you can put them inside the trailer when traveling or not in use. Cheap, easy, no hassle $34 solution for Field Day as well.

That's what I'm thinking of doing. Thanks

I made my mast out of an expandable fiberglass pruning saw. Got about 25' lift with it. (Had to paint it tho: couldn't deal with that bright yellow!)

I picked up a stick of aluminum conduit from Grangers. Light weight and 2 would go together with a coupling.
It was not that expensive and works just fine.

Reading the first post wanting 30 to 40ft, I can say you will have to use something that telescopes for that height and above 30ft is very scary without guys. I've wrestled with every kind and length of mast and for steel tubing about 20-25ft is the max you can deal with in one chunk. A 30ft or higher mast needs a couple of people and ropes to pull it up. That's why I recommended the push up mast, a 30ft version is a little over 10ft long and you can set that vertical then use a 6ft step ladder to push up the sections and lock them with the built in clamps. If you connect two 21ft lengths of fence rail for a 40ft mast, its impossible to put up in one piece by one person.
