Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello,
I'm having trouble finding the part I need to fix my problem.

I have a chimney mounted antenna with a RS rotor. Mounted using ratcheted straps. Good secure fit. The mast is 10' tall with a discone on top and a 24" 800Mhz Yagi midway down.

See the picture in this link: http://www.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27159&highlight=audiodave1

I am in search of a device that will allow me to put a 3rd strap around the top row of bricks and extends outward to a ring around the antenna mast to minimize or reduce the wobble. My 800Hhz antenna ends up aiming downward a good 15 degrees at some points

Any ideas or do I just need to buy a real rotor that does not have a wobbly top?

The rotor is fine, What I would do is move the omni antenna off that mast and onto its own fixed mast. That weight up high is causing your wobble. Now the rotor ust turn the little yagi. I would also move the rotor to the bottom of the chimney, run the mast to the top and put on the yagi, On the other side of the chimney run another mast for the the omni.

Getting the dipole of the same mast as the yagi is the first thing. I'd also move that smaller yagi and rotor to the vent pipe and the large one now on the vent pipe to the chimney. Vent pipe mounts make me nervous, especially when they are subject to the twisting force of a rotor so I'd get any antenna off the vent pipe. Actually, you seem to have way too much stuff attached to that chimeny. Is there a way you can get another mast on the roof. maybe using a tripod, for some of those antennas?

Pretty nice set up.

I second the vote for a tripod of some sort. Then you can mount the rotator below the top, inside the tripod, and it will turn true.
