I have a 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer and would like to use some type of hatch / trunck mount for a 1/4 wave VHF antenna.
Has anyone done this? If so what did you use?

Buy a Trunk Lip mount, they have omni directional ones which u can change the angle of the antenna to whereever you need it, i have a trunk lip mount on my 2006 Grand Prix and it works awesome, no marks whatsover, no scratches, no friction marks....however you will get the swiss cheese treatment somewhere in this thread (aka drill a permanent mount in the roof of your Blazer). I passed on both that idea and the magmount idea strictly for the reason of i wanted to be able to remove everything if needed without having to fill holes or attempt to buff out horrible scratch marks...

Here is a selection of hatchback mounts that should work for the Trail Blazer. Or you could use an "L" bracket fastened to the inside edge of the hood to mount an antenna.
