Antenna question for you

Early today I caught this train on a DPU notice the antenna. I have gone through all of my GEVO pics BNSF UP CSX and NS and this is the first time I've seen this. Does it have anything to do with PTC.

it looks like gps or a sat radio antenna heck maybe a cell antenna also( yeah they make them still hahaha)

Could be Wifi of some sort. I have heard the Class 1's do downloads on the move in terminal areas through some sort of Wifi system. May not be actual wifi, but something similar requiring an external antenna.

I have seen 800 MHZ antennas of that similar antenna design. An 800 MHZ cell antenna? 800 MHZ computer / data terminal antenna?

UP uses 900Mhz for wireless automatic downloads.

The PTC antenna that we are using looks like the razorback antenna in the second picture. The antenna in question could be cell for route information, downloads, data or even GPS timing
