Antenna Question on Scanner Radios.

Id like to ask you guys an interesting Question. When you look at the front of your scanner. Why are the Antennas on the left side of the Radio instead of the right side of the Radio. I see other Radios out there that have the Antenna on the right side. Thanks.

WAG: Since most people are right handed, they hold the radio with their left. The right hand can then more easily access the controls.

My Motorola Sabers, Astro Sabes and XTS radios have the antenna on the right side. My guess is because since most people wear their issued radios on the left side, the antenna towards the rear allows easier access to the channel and volume knobs.

I've seen iCOM models with two antennas.
