ANTENNA QUESTIONS???

Howdy, All,
My question involves "STACKING" Antennas. i.e. placing more than one antenna on ONE mast. I'm considering purchasing a "SCANTENNA". since I already have a 'shack' discone, will they both operate efficiently on the same pole. I thought I'd put the discone on top. I believe I read somewhere that the SCANTENNA does not perform well in the 800 range.
Your help and info is greatly APPRECIATED.

Scantenna works fine in the 800 MHz range. Certainly better than a no-gain discone would.

If discone has PL259 conn then insert a PL to "F" adp and run RG-6 like the scantenna. I would first try to put splitter at ants and run one coax. OR run two coax and use splitter / switch ahead of scanner. I've combined ant's before and never had a problem except when I put two Channel Masters together. Scanner jumped up and down. TOOOO much Signal. Good Luck

Thanks for the info, Larry. it sounds like it would be interesting (NOT) to see the scanners jumping around.
