I have a mobile antenna I use with my UNIDEN scanners. It needs a new BNC connector, the shield is broken just behind the connector.
Is there such a thing as a replacement BNC connector for the really thin cable used with the mini mag mount antennas?

Are you talking about the RG-174 coaxial cable? It's about 1/8" in diameter.

Yes, there are coaxial connectors for those. They will either need to be soldered on or crimped (or a combination of both).

If you don't have a crimp tool and are not confident with your soldering capabilities, it might be worth looking at the price for a new antenna.

While not ideal, this could serve as a _temporary_ solution: https://www.amazon.com/TNP-Binding-...6715&sr=8-4&keywords=bnc+to+banana+plug+cable
