I was thinking of setting up a radio room on our second floor.
The thought crossed my mind I could put the antenna up in the attic access in the ceiling.
My question is tho, we put a steel roof on last summer will that interfere with a attic antenna or even a outside antenna?
I know a steel car will interfere so that's were my thoughts

That's what I thought.
My radio room is set back a bit behind the front (kick out from the house) also so I'll need to place my pole outside the footprint for better reception to I'm thinking?

Ok this what I'm working with. The window over the porch would be my radio room.
If I put a antenna on the porch roof would the steel siding effect my transmit and receive? Or would I be better putting a pole mount at the edge of the house?
I'm not really thinking of a huge antenna up. More so a tripod style base n med height antenna.
Just kicking around thoughts for future plans.

Very simply, the top side of a metal roof is okay to mount an antenna on [a vertical antenna]. The bottom side is not.
