Antenna Wire and the BCT-15

I just recieved my BCT-15 yesterday evening and I also ordered the ProComm CD144MBN Antenna from Grove-Ent which also arrived. I am installing both of these inside my Ford F-250 and I have ran into a little problem... the antenna wire (RG58/U coax - 12') is not long enough. If I went and purchased a 6' extension to add on this, will it affect the performance of the scanner/antenna combo? Thanks in advance.

That is such a short length it will not effect performance.When you start getting into 50 feet or mor with RG58/u then it becomes a problem..
