I've got an old trunkmount antenna on the roof, kinda ghetto.
It works ok for everything but 800mhz.
If I open the squelch a bit I can hear the CTL channel, sometimes a bit broken.
Decode rate is usually somewhere between 5-10%, not very good obviously.
I do have an extension cable hooked up to the antenna, is there a way I can find out if a better cable would provide better results?
Using RG58.
Also in some places in town I can pick this system up in my car using a UHF Trunkmount Antenna (Antenex B4505C)
The System I'm trying to Monitor is Springfield/Greene County.
I think it might just be the loss, why it's not working very good.
This is pretty screwy, I took out the extension cord and I'm getting a worse signal then before.
Also I have the RS Magmount in a room inside the house (on a filing cabinet, and I can monitor the system from there).
Decode rate goes from 99% to all over the place, seems like in kinda fades in/out.
