Antennas pros/cons

Hi
I am doing a essay on different HF antenna types.
And im trying to simplify this in a simple.
positive pros list and a negative cons list on the different types.
I know that everything makes a difference and affects the antenna etc etc
so im trying to find simple charasteristics that is easy to explain to a normal civilian
including myself.

Broadband dipole Pros/Cons ???????

Vertical whip antenna Pros/Cons ????

Conical Monopole antenna Pros/Cons ????

Log Periodic Antennas Pros/Cons ????

I can't help you as I'm really not into HF antennas & wouldn't know a dipole from a monopole. Take care.
