Definitely intense. Kept me awake listening. RR should have recorded it if one the other guys was broadcasting online, in that section of this site.

I was annoyed @ 5.11's comment on KOMO's site. He must be a cop. Although, i talked to an spd officer @ a Mariners game & he stated most cops dont care as long as no one gets in the way. It's the same community/city after all.
I emailed a buddy in the KOMO newsroom. He said the interns were bouncing off the walls listening in on this chase.

Agree about the comment.. Whoever 5.11 is, they definitely could use a bit of education. The police work for the us after all. Also, trunking hardware doesnt cost thousands. In my case it cost closer to $70. Whatever.

Did you catch the shooting on the air today?

In the comments section of the article that martidav posted.

Someone called MLA gave 5.11 a verbal beat down which is funny and also worth reading. ;)

I have the audio from the SCSO side. To be honest, it was not all that exciting. Light to no traffic. Dry roads. 80 to 90 MPH.

I did not catch every piece of traffic but the Sgt. said that if radio communication got any worse that he wanted them to terminate the pursuit. This was when they were down by the West Seattle bridge.

How in the world would RadioReference been able to record that? They'd had to record thousands of channels at one time to get just bits and pieces of the pursuit. Not to mention THOUSANDS of dollars invested to just be able to try.

I had a 1.5s delay on all SPD precincts w/ RS Pro 107, and WA LEARN on iCom POS, 155.370 or so.. At various points in the chase, I heard sarg's in all precincts state they were not to chase, only to deploy stopsticks. The last one I heard was S precinct reiterate to terminate the chase, Troopers have it. As the disgruntled (I could hear in his voice) S SPD officer detailed his direction of travel, the van crashed and the officer exclaimed, "head on head on crash!"

Nothing to do with radioreference. I wish *I* had recorded it, so that I could share it with all of you. It's a community effort. :)

If someone were broadcasting their scanner feed here, King County, Washington (WA) Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners on RadioReference.com
pieces of the chase would have been recorded - as a whole feed. You're right, only pieces would be recorded as someone's feed would be piping everything.
