Still going at 1530 UTC on August 12. Aircraft "412" and "Primetime 801" have been working with "Habitat" this morning.

At 1528 UTC 801 confirmed with Habitat that the target had "come up" for a com break. One assumes this means a communications check from the submarine. Habitat responded that the last known position for the target was at 1033 UTC, so they were working on 5 hour old data.

PRIMETIME P-3C, NAS Whidbey Island
HABITAT CP TSCC, NAS Whidbey Island

For those who may not know NAS Whidbey Island is the premier naval aviation installation in the Pacific Northwest and home of all Navy tactical electronic attack squadrons.

Unfortunately Im not hearing anything here on the east coast :( Im hoping propagation conditions improve as the evening progresses.

Yep, they have kept at least one P-3 in the air over the op area for the last 20+ or so hours. Callsigns of Primetime 801, 802, 803, 804, and 805 have been heard. A callsign of 412 was also heard, but I have no firm idea what that might have been, I believe, based on comments made, that it might have been a helo.

Transmissions are sometimes frequent, sometimes there is up to 10 minutes between transmissions. most of the TXs are pretty dull, but there are some real gems in there also. Lots of TXs are secure, but lots in the clear also.

They are working with at least one sub, and laying sonobouy lines. Naturally, they have Link up also, I believe their HF secondary freq for Link is 13206.

If you come into the #wunclub IRC give me a ring, I can hook you up to my audio stream, it has been on this freq since shortly after the activity was first reported.

Im getting sporadic voice comms here in RI. Some in the clear some encrypted. Also getting ALE from time to time mixed in as well. Not a lot of activity overall though. Are you getting a lot of stuff on your end zguy?
