Can anyone help to clear up all the confusion surrounding the numerous fire frequencies in the Antrim County, MI section of the database? I think a few are typos in some fashion or other.

151.145
151.415
154.145
and 154.415

are all listed for different agencies. Some have them as fireground frequencies and others as dispatch frequencies. I know that they can't overlap for the agencies and purposes.

I'll admit, it is a finger twister on the keyboard!

...but they can overlap... The county has a primary dispatch (151.415) and the individual FD's also have a license on that freq. There is likely a county fireground freq as well. My perusal of Police Call shows the same. Then Torch Lakes shows up with the 154's just like here.

The confusing thing is not the overlap between county dispatch frequencies as it is between the dispatch and fireground frequencies. Can a dispatch frequency for one township be the same as a fireground frequency for the same township.

Here's the link:
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=1231

and take a look at the entries for Torch Lake fire:
154.14500 WPQJ253 BM Fire - Dispatch FM

and at Elk Rapids Fire Dept.:
154.14500 WPQB388 BM Fireground FM

and at the county dispatch:
151.41500 KOP901 RM 156.7 Fire - Dispatch FM

and at Central Lake Twp fire:
151.14500 WPHF833 BM Fire - Dispatch FM

That's where I'm confused. Or maybe just stupid. It could be that it is 11:30pm.

Frequencies for Antrim County are as follows:

Dispatch (County-Wide) 151.415 tone 156.7
Fire Ground 154.145 tone 131.8

These are the only two frequencies we use for the county-wide, no variations such as 154.415 or 151.145.

All departments use 151.415 for dispatching. Some departments (such as Bellaire) opt to use different frequencies for their main fireground.
Central Lake is a possible typo. South Torch Lake and Torch Lake are also possible typos.

I haven't checked the ULS site to see what's going on in the licensing dept, but I know for a fact that what I posted on the top is right. Could be that these other frequencies are actually licensed for some reason to the different townships as seperate fire grounds, or maybe even talk-arounds?

.

Here, fireground is just talking on the repeater output. So yes, dispatch and fireground would be listed as the same frequency.
