I was wondering if there was any other public safety agencies still using 800Mhz conventional/P25 or analog frequencies out there... I know Wheeling PD, Calumet CIty PD and City Colleges of Chi security still uses them. Is there anymore out there that are not listed in the database? Thanks in advance!

Gurnee and Cary PD's still have 800 Conventional and before I left the area there were still a few business band 800 conventional channels including one for school buses.

Pace paratransit is still on the 800 band. ISP uses 700Mhz conventional P25 Tac freqs not sure if there active much in northern IL as they are in the southern part of the state.

Not public safety, but 855.0125 (wnaj770) is still used by O'Hare Midway Limousine Service, pl173.8. Transmitter site is in Chicago and it was monitored from Oswego (Kendall County).

Woodridge Public Works took over the old Woodridge PD analog F1 repeater (856.4625 PL 103.5), vacating 155.040 old VHF simplex channel.

I can't understand how the Village can afford to maintain the old 800 Spectra-Tac system. It is so outdated and antiquated, plus the costs of the RT phone circuits are phenomenal.

Peculiar thing is that the public works dispatches themselves (PD is on SC21 with DuComm), and the service trucks still refer to the Public Works base as "Base 2." PD, when it was dispatching, was "Base 1."

I know this is an old thread, but you can still hear Gurnee PD on their 800 MHz repeater despite other agencies transitioning to StarCom21. Franklin Park has a 800 MHz repeater for Public Works. Wheeling is now on StarCom21 w/ ENC.

Out here in the far southwest suburbs, LaSalle County still uses 853.58750 (156.7) for operations at the county jail. It's a very low powered repeater and you won't here it more than a couple of miles away but it's there :)

The sheriff's department uses 851.0750 (156.7) for mobile extenders into their DMR system on the Cleartalk DMR
