Does anyone listen in on Camp Pendletons TRS? If so, which scanner would you recommend? I live in the 21 Area (Del Mar Beach),cost isn't to much of an issue. I would appreciate any help at all in starting up. Thanks.

I listen to Pendleton a little bit. I have a 396T and a 396XT. They both work pretty well on the Pendleton TRS. I also listen to the milair stuff with them. I can't comment on the performance of GREs as I've never heard one. I live pretty close to you off of Capistrano and the rubber ducks work OK when I am mobile around town.

I have a Pro-106 and it works really well for me. I can hear their traffic using an RH77CA hand held antenna. Location: LAX area. 
I monitor site 5-002 and 5-007 with a BCD996T, PSR-500 and Pro-197.
I am on the other side of the hill but can pick these up crystal clear.
Sometimes encryption is used and the Uniden scanners will mute the radio which is very handy. My GRE scanners don't unless the talkgroup is encrypted from the start of the transmission.
