Any Home Patrol owners in Wichita Falls on RR

Got my home patrol last week, it has been nice to hear WFFD and DPS again. I have noticed on the WF fire if the call is just for a single apparatus I only here the tone "klaxon", but if it is a full box response I can here dispatch in the clear... I am using the HP sentinal for now. I had to drive to Ft Riley Kansas this week and the HP worked perfect all through Oklahoma and KS. just entering the counties.... to bad Texas does not have an inter-op system like OK and KS.

Can't help with the WF area stuff, but if you do a lot of traveling, I suggest you get an outboard GPS unit (something like a Garmin 18X) and the necessary cables/null modem and connect the HP-1 to it when traveling. Stops the need to be punching new locations in all the time.

Yea I am going to that. I have been violating my NO Text While Driving Policy... almost the same thing when entering locations while driving down the Hwy at 75 mph.
