Unfortunately, you can't hook it up to a PC. You have to program it the old fashioned way (if you program all 200 channels, get ready for some sore thumbs-haha).
The 200 was my first 800Mhz scanner, and I've still got it. I've had it since sometime in the late 80s early 90s, I don't remember when exactly for certain-I just know that I've had it a looonggg time.
My power supply and battery pack have long since died. I ordered a battery pack that allows you to use AA batteries from Racing Electronics here's the
address. It still works like a champ.
I also ordered a new power supply from Uniden, so I can still use the old battery pack when I want to just power it off the wall-wart, even though the battery itself won't hold a charge. FWIW, you can buy those too, both in NiCad and NiMH, though the NiMH are a little pricey. NiCad is available from Uniden, and I've seen NiMH from various third party vendors. If you're handy with a soldering gun (I'm not) you can even make your own NiMH battery pack.
All in all, it's still a great scanner for monitoring conventional systems.
Enjoy-
Steve
