I work on President's Island and I listen to West Memphis / Crittenden Co. with me Pro-83....I also have AirWing freqs in there too.

I was just curious if there were anything interesting close to me that I may also listen to....

I monitor marine Ch. 16, 74 & 79.....the latter two are freqs that my company uses....we operate a mid-stream fuel service & asphalt storage terminal.

I'm really close to the Valero refinery & have those freqs already, so I aint really interested in that......

You may try 154.385 which is the Walls Fire Department in Desoto County. You should be able to hear it from the island.

Tunica

Now that you mention it, are you close enough to pick up Tunica County's 800mhz system and/or any of the casinos. The casinos may be on low power but let me know if you can pick up Tunica. They're listed in the RR database. I have them programmed in Memphis near I-240 & Perkins but haven't heard anything. May be too far away.

Don't know how "interesting" it may be, but you can try the frequencies for the Fed Ex Forum and see what they talk about.

I went to the database & plugged in all the Memphis fire, hospitals, TV stations......

I have listened to some rail traffic too.....

I can hear inbound FedEx planes......they go right over the Island........right over my terminal outbound!

I may try the hotels & FedEx forum too.....we go to Beal St. for lunch some times

West Memphis, Marion & Crittenden Co. are boomin' in here & all I got is the stock duckie on my Pro-83.......I'm in a metal framed building too!

You must be working at Ergon.....

I cant remember the name of the feuling boat that Ergon used to run. I spent 2 years working in the harbor for Wepfer and a little doing linehaul and also with the COE
