Any news on Cherokee's future Trunk?

Anyone have any news on Cherokee County's 800 trunk? When is it supposed to be up?

Folks I know at the CC 911 say it will be a cold day in Hell before they put it in! They have 5 frequencies licensed to them, but I've never heard the slightest bit of static on any of the channels.
