Has anyone recently monitored any Tetra activity in the NY/NJ area, particularly voice comms? I've listened on some of the transit frequencies listed in the RR database on an AOR DV1, and admittedly I am not portable or mobile, so locked to a fixed monitoring location. Anyone have any luck? Thanks.

New Jersey Transit's TETRA trunking system used by Bus Operations is mostly unencrypted and has been very successfully monitored using SDR# and the TTT Plug-In. The system though unfortunately is not simulcast.

I tried several of the frequencies/sites that seemed closest to NYC, but alas, was not able to receive those signals from my ground level location in Manhattan. Even if I had, not sure that AOR DV1 Tetra T-TC or T-DM modes would be compatible. Gonna have to throw the DV1` into a vehicle and get closer to some of the sites to garner more information. Thanks.

I ran it for a while, the only site I have access to is Cherryville and I had maybe 2 or 3 hits a day. It wasn't worth it for me to keep going with it.
