Any one know anything about this radio

It is a KYD TK-338 made in China and transmits on amatuer bands but there is not a lot of info on this radio does anyone know anything about it.

The KYD TK-338 is one of our newest models. This is a great looking radio with excellent features. Unlike our other radios this unit has a 6.25KHz shift meaning it could be used on all 446 Channels. It also covers the Amateur Radio 70cm Band.

I have seen that info but not much else I don't know if it is a good radio or not or if it repeater capable or what.

You'll find some reviews on eham.com and 446user.co.uk. Look at the specs carefully if you're interested in DCS (DPL), some of these radios can ony do CTCSS (PL). Also, there's no mention of its resistance to water and dust intrusion, although it looks pretty rugged.

I have the instruction manual in pdf if you need it. I have one it's a great radio use it like a scanner. Yes you can use it on repeater's .

I really doubt it's type approved/accepted, and in the UK you'd be breaking the law by importing it, using it (unless you're a licenced ham) and its pretty dumb to use it on the PMR 446 channels.

Looks like a knock-off of the Motorola EX600XLS. I've seen these on ebay and heard some horrible things about them and Linton products in general, so beware...

I got one of the JingTong UHF portables and it works real good. I use it as a backup portable in my truck in case my Spectra stops working (which it never has).
