Any opinions on this radio??

Saw a Jing Tong VHF handheld for sale at a local shop for $40 bucks. Was told that its ok radio, but you get what you pay for. I figure even if I get 3 months out of it it would be worth the $40 to check it out. Obviously I know I may be taking a chance but hey what the heck.

Anyone use this radio before??

I would be VERY cautions about a radio that cheap. I have had scanners and radios since i was 10, which was many moons ago, and have never heard of Jing Tong. If i were you, i would stay on the cautions end and go with a well known radio mgf.... vertex, icom, kenwood, uniden, etc.
