her is whats gets me is it links fire district 6 (lee rd) pl 79.7
district 4 (mandiville(
district 7 (talsheek)
and district 12 (covington)

That channel is called UNIFIRE. The dispatch center patches that channel to the respective fire district so
other districts can hear the call. It's a good idea although not used very well.

St Tammany Fire channels

In doing some research, I came across 3 licenses that the Parish has on file.

WPZF663
152.050
152.070
158.510
158.510

WPZF664
152.530
152.550
157.790
157.810

WPZF665
152.650
152.670
157.910
157.930

These are for a number of old paging channels that were sold to the Parish by The
Communications Center in Covington and were given a waver of use to the St. Tammany
Parish Communications District.

There are a number of channels as you can see on each of the licenses. What is
strange is that the frequency of 152.060 doesn't show up on any of these licenses,
but doing an FCC search for that frequency brought me to the above licenses.

District 13

I believe District 13 FD is dispatched by Covington FD on 154.385. District 13 is never heard on 152.06.

It is UniFire or "Fire Alarm"

All St. Tammany fire protection districts that participate in UniFire use this. We are able to communicate much more effectively with neighboring districts should the need for "mutual aid" arise.
