My 15X will arrive tomorrow. Once I get it up and running, checking things out, will be hooked up to proscan when the cable I ordered arrives in a few days. Just looking for any tips or suggestions on this scanner. Got this for mainly civ air/mil air but could use it on other bands but my SDS200 usually takes care of that stuff.

Got it today. Just playing around with it and see it has a fast scan rate. Waiting on the cable to hook it up to proscan. Coming from commiefornia, I might get it late next week. Will give me time to read the manual.

The 15X is a great analog scanner. Besides air and many types of military air, I use it for Railroads, Marine, Forestry, Attractions, Businesses, Hotels, Environmental Protection Agency (State Parks), Federal, Interop, Ham Radio, FRS/GMRS/MURS, etc... Some of the latter are still analog. We have all types around here being that it's a tourist and major border of Islands. Enjoy your BCT15X. It's sibling, the handheld BC125AT, goes with me everywhere along with my SDS100 and my UHF/VHF, DMR Radios.

I have had mine for a couple of years and I love it, its a great radio. However BE CAREFUL with the programming plug. I dont know why they used the CRAPPY plug for those radios instead of the more durable ones on the SDS200 and BDC996p2. If you accidentaly whack it to the side it could damage the jack.

Thanks for the tip. Still trying to figure out how I want to run the cable to the computer and not damage it. Bad design. Anyone using proscan with this scanner can tell me if I can add changes through proscan like delay time and such?
