Any way to make the 396T a little quicker?

Hello everyone,

I scan a few different systems using a 396T. One digital trunked (county 500 mhz) a second digital trunked (State 800 mhz) and a few conventional systems.

My question: Is there any way to make the scanner scan through these systems quicker? It takes up to 15 - 20 seconds for the scanner to make its way back around and I miss a lot.

Help please!

There are a few tricks you can do. Set all your site/system hold times to 0 instead of 2. Sort the frequencies in ascending or descending order, this will make them scan faster. You can also download FreeSCAN, which has a function to analyze your programming and modify it for max scan speed.
