I was doing a little research on Rock County Wisconsin.

Anybody know what 159.27 and 154.04 are used for? Can anyone confirm that 153.95 is the input to both the North and South Fire Ops repeaters? Is 158.73 now a repeater channel? Is 155.55 a repeater at the jail or courthouse? Does Beloit FD still use 452.90 and 453.4875? What does Beloit PD use 453.5625 and 453.9625 for? Did Beloit DPW move from 154.10R in 1994 to 155.94R now? What does Janesville FD use portable radios on 150.775 and 150.79 for? I just noticed that the Sheriff has a link radio on 457.90 - perhaps this is a link to Beloit FD? RadioRef says that 155.685R is PD tac in Janesville - true? Rock County Sheriff also has 25 portable radios licensed on 159.03 - maybe these are for portable extenders?

I checked various sources around the Internet, but was unable to come up with answers to these detailed questions.

So many questions...phew! I've never monitored any Rock County frequencies, but this is what I've come up with for some of those channels.

158.730 is the Sheriff's "tactical" channel, and yes it's repeater output.
154.040 is used by the Village of Clinton local government & police.
452.900 is for FD dispatch (but this site says it's 457.900, so I'm not sure).
154.04 I have no clue other than it's registered to both Janesville and Evansville under 2 different callsigns, and the FCC data lists it used for "coordination of activities."
155.940 is City of Beloit local government
155.685 Janesville PD tactical channel
159.030 Courthouse security

What do you mean when you list an "R" after a frequency (155.94R)?

When I say 155.94R - I mean that 155.94 is a repeater output freq. Anyone who listens to 155.94R should be able to hear the dispatcher AND the field units over long distances. If I just wrote 155.94 - then I would mean that bases and mobiles both transmit on 155.94 - it is not a repeatered channel - in this case, one could typically hear the dispatcher over long distances, but the mobile radios would only be heard over short distances. Clear as mud? Peter S
