Anyone else having garbling on SAFE-T in NWI?

I have a TRX2, WS1098 & a WS1095 and they all 3 have been garbling off & on for about 3 weeks now on SAFE-T in NWI. The TRX2 is on an antenna by itself, the other 2 share an antenna. When they garble, the text on the screen flashes wildly and it sounds like continuous mic keying & unkeying, along with digital noise in the transmission, also when this happens the signal meters on the scanners still have 5 full bars. Like I said this started about 3 weeks ago and I don't know if it's related to current high sun activity of sun spots & flares.
If anyone wants to hear the garbling on the TRX2, here is a link to my BDFY feed: Jasper County Sheriff, Indiana State Police Districts 13, 14, and 16 Live Audio Feed

What little traffic I heard sounded fine, but have you considered the possibility of encryption on some frequencies/units/TGs? Check EZ Scan and see what your setting is for handling encryption.

@RaleighGuy you should listen to it longer, b\c it will all of a sudden digital garble like a satellite dish when it snows (as in not enough digital data in the transmission). It is also indiscriminate when it does and happens on diff TGs. This site was received perfectly on all TGs up until about 3 weeks ago.

Sorry, I only had that one thought. Hopefully someone else will have more ideas.

That's not true.
The site is "Monon" and there is no encryption on the TGs I listen to b\c you can partly make out the voice along with the digital noise. I am also investigating possible SD card partial corruption as the culprit. The TRX-2 worked great until a few weeks ago.

It's odd that all 3 of your scanners would visibly show signs of error. I would suspect either an AC power issue, or local noise from an electric heater or blanket, maybe an inflatable Christmas decoration (motor noise). If it's noise that comes and goes it could be like a fan on an electric heater.

Try running one of your scanners on battery power and turn off the main AC breaker in your residence. That will immediately indicate if something in your residence is interfering with the scanners. Did you recently add any new appliances or electronics? USB power supplies are notorious for wideband interference. LED lights can do the same thing. Did you recently install Christmas decorations? Unplug them. If you are in an attached residence, the interference could be from one of your neighbors. Check with them if any appliances or electronic devices were recently added and have them unplug the item. Their Christmas decorations could also be the culprit.

While on the same site, the scanners at random only have digital noise mixed with the comms on diff TGs. So, nobody here has noticed a degradation of reception quality on the "Monon" site on SAFE-T? On only some TGs.

Might have been upgraded to simulcast.
Been discussion bout using some existing sites and converting to a Jasper county simulcast system. Kinda what they did with Porter county and others to convert to simulcast. There have been "dead" spots and sporadic coverage with Monon and Rensselaer tower sites.

That is very valuable info that you have told me, as I live in Rensselaer. If they have converted to simulcast, I also have my SDS200 that I can use on my BDFY feed. I have my TRX2 on there b\c I think it sounds better, but now my 200 may have to be installed on it. Can you supply a link to any info about this so I can find out more or are you an insider who knows? This is the kind of info we miss out on, not having a public SAFE-T state sites map any more, but we are lucky that this info filters through to the hobby anyway.

Also I'm currently running Pro96com on The Rensselaer & Monon sites on 2 old GRE scanners and I don't see any of the talk channel frequencies on either site being the same. Were there any other sites they were going to simulcast with?

I'm not aware of any situation where IPSC has taken two independent sites and decided to simulcast them.

My brother is an ISP trooper and they have bad safe-t coverage along that stretch of I65 and surrounding areas. Said there was discussion of simulcast to improve coverage. Not sure if it has happened though. The audio feed sounds like it could be.

No, not just 2 sites for safe-t simulcast. I guess I used a poor choice of wording. sorry for that. They added and constructed a few more sites along with existing stand alone sites to complete the simulcast coverage. In Porter and St Joe counties, They added another 3 or 4 sites / towers to complete the surrounding simulcast infrastructure. And upgraded the existing stand alone sites to simulcast. Generally 5 or 6 simulcast sites / towers in total per simulcast.

I hear it too a bit with Kosciusko County one. But not too much. Happens with the Live Feed one and the Calls feed one.
