Group 2046 was used as a test group by the radio maintenence people. Group 465 was designated for Kilby to use. (I need to blow off the dust and fire up my scanner, its been a while.)

Alabama RS, yes 2046 (digital) and 2047 (analog) are used by the techs. Warren, no , 466 is the County Humane group and 467 is the County Support group.

Not sure but I assume they are analog since the County uses more of the lower tiered EDACS radios due to costs. But just a guess.

I was eating lunch a couple of weeks ago and at the table next to me was an MCSO Sergeant. He had what looked like an LPE-200 radio sitting on the table. It looks like the SO is starting to get some new hardware.

The MCSO are using the LPE200s, but its the other county agencies I was referring to. They tend to either get the hand me downs or lower tiered radios. Since they tend to not need all the bells and whistles. At one point they could buy 3 of the lower tired EDACS portables vs 1 of the LPE200 radios. But the cheaper radio would only do analog.
