Well it looks like East Tennessee had a small quake yesterday, nothing big though. I didn't feel it and I am located only about 15 miles away from where it was centered.
Now for the kicker, is the New Madrid fault building for a snap soon? I know it's due for a big one to happen.

(An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was reported on April 18, 2008 at 5:37 AM EST with an epicenter located in eastern Southern Illinois, near the border with Indiana at the northern periphery of the New Madrid Seismic Zone)
(from The Mountain Press in Sevier County Tennessee)
1) An earthquake centered around Mayville around 12:30pm Friday 10-31-08 registered a magnitude 2.9
2) An earthquake centered around Grand Prarie Texas around 11:25pm Thursday 10-30-08 registered a magnitude 2.5
3) An earthquake centered near Irving Texas around 12:01am Friday 10-31-08 registered a magnitude 3.0
This is a lot of small activity in the south / south-east in a 12 hour time frame. I know they are miles apart but if New Madrid is under HUGE stress at this moment in time, it could be ripping the surrounding areas land structure
Just something to ponder....
