Anyone from near Heber Springs?

I am from CA, but spent a few summers in the early 80's in Heber Springs, near Tumbling Shoals. I was curious, did the lake shrink?

I was using google maps to see if I could spot our old cabin on the lake and am thinking there is a lot less water and shoreline than I remember.

Anyone know anything about this.... am i nuts?

Had a few great summers there on that lake, boating and hanging out. It was real rural there, is it still?

The Corp of Engineers draw down the lake in winter time to handle the heavy flow of water from the tributaries that feed it. This is done for flooding control.
