Defenders of Freedom Airshow!!
It was great!! Nice weather and a nice crowd. I went on Saturday and everything went off with out a hitch. The air boss was using 128.25 AM and everybody else was using freq's listed on Monitoring Times web page. The only bummer was one of the T-Birds hit a bird about half way through their show and had to land. He was OK. I found it interesting that the Air Boss told the T-Birds that a Blue had gone down right after the show was over. This was not put out over the PA. Naturally, the T-Bird crews and pilots were very concerned about the Blue pilot, but the Air Boss said he had no info on his fate. Later, I saw the crash on the news. Very Sad. God Bless Him for his service to our country!! Other than that, the day was nice
