Took the family to the grape festival this morning. It's a small annual event that is held at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga (Inland Empire, So Cal for those not familiar with the area).

ARRL had a small booth set up and they were there as part of Amateur Radio Expo 2009 (It's mentioned briefly here: Los Angeles Area Council of A.R Clubs: Public Service Events). They had their usual "build a widget" booth going for the kids, and they were also at the LA County Fair last month.

SATERN was also there, as was Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff and Fire Department.

Not a whole lot in terms of amateur radio (in fact, the whole Grape Festival is rather tiny. LOL). But, if you're in the area, it's only $1 to get in. They had some fair type food booths, but there's plenty of restaurants at the mall. AND Bass Pro Shops is across the street! Woot! If you've never been to Bass Pro Shops and like the outdoors, it's worth the visit.

Enjoy.
