Anyone have luck with META-DATA info from 396

I started to play around with setting up an online feed for monitoring from work without having to take my scanner. Trying to learn how to set up a live feed, I have the feed working, not a lot of bandwith however. I am curious if anyone is familiar with the meta-tag programs available from www.scangwinnett.com. The talkgroup monitor program designed for the 246 seems to monitor the data, however it wont show the talkgroups on the feed. I am sure all of the port settings are correct. I think that it has to do with the title.txt file. If anyone has pointers please let me know.

1) You may have named the file wrong - it has to be titles.txt. The 's' must be there.

2) You can use Icecast as the server and Metagenerator as the metadata generator (no serproxy needed). With Monitor you have to use Simplecast for the text, and that's not free. (http://www.Webdingers.com/scanner.html has links to all 4 downloads you need.)

3) You may just have the entries in titles.txt formatted wrong. It's TGID or frequency, comma, text to display online. The frequency must be in Uniden form, that is, 8 digits, starting with the GHz digit on the left. So 154.905 MHz would be 01549050

(Metagenerator uses the text tag in the scanner as the key, so you can have the same frequency [with a different PL or when you're in a different location] or the same TGID [for a different system] streaming different text.)
