Anyone have news about Bergen County system?

Does anyone know approximately how long it will take for the Bergen County PD to use their digital system?

And will all the county towns have to change to digital or will some stay with their conventional freqs?

So how long, approximately, do you think before they have the digital system?

I'm thinking of getting another non digital scanner to listen to bergen county towns, but I dont know if its worth it since they're supposed to switch to digital.

I agree with Joseph, that's whay I'm doing. Even when the change comes, it will be a gradual proccess, not all at once.

Wow it's that close to the change huh? What about Passaic county Sheriff and the towns...Clifton, Passaic, Paterson...they gonna go digital too?

I was talking more in reference to the expense of a digital scanner. Digital may be not that close but it's still good to have a digital scanner for when it comes around.

Oh you mean like I should save up and buy a digital scanner now so I have it even before they switch rather than buying a second non digital scanner?

Can a digital scanner like the Pro-96 receive conventional frequencies that are in use right now though?

Not all digital is trunked, anyway. The PRO-96 can receive analog trunked and conventional systems as well as digital trunked and conventional systems.
