Hello All,

I work in the Hopewell area and I like to bring my scanner to work. The only problem is I cant seem to locate any department worth listening too. Since I am very close to Trenton this would have been nice but the PD is encrypted so that is not an option. I am wondering if anyone is in this area, if so could you reccomend some stations that come in clear in this area. By the way I have a BCT 15 so no digital.

Thanks,

James

Station32,

Thanks for the response and the information. I think I am going to create a new system with all of the items you listed just for at work. I have the mercer county conventional freq set up for Hopewell Town, Princeton Township, Pennington Road Fire, Hamilton Township, Lifecom EMS and Lawrence Township. The Trenton Fire 1 and 2 on the TRS does not come in clear for me in my office but I still have it scanning since today is the first day I tried I will wait it out and see what I get. I work for Bristol-Myers Squibb on Pennington / Rocky Hill Rd. I dont have anything loaded for Hunterdon County because I didn't think I would be able to pick up anything from here but I will go in the database and get the Freq and give it a shot.

Thanks again for the info, I really appreciate the response.

Those BMS channels look familiar. Also try out the repeaters for the Lawrence campus -- I think they may also cover the two other BMS sites in that area.

F-1 Emerg Svc Alerting 464.9750 R 136.5
F-# Security 464.4750 R d743
F-# Unknown 464.8500 R d315?
F-# Contractors 463.8750 R d125
F-5 Maintenance 464.7750 R d743
F-# Unknown 464.0750 R ?
Analog Paging 464.5750 R CSq

Hunterdon has some nice repeaters, you should receive them well from Hopewell. I take it you already have Princeton fire/EMS on 158.805/151.4. Princeton Borough PD tends to be more active than the Township PD, 460.2625/d565 & 470.9625/192.8. Some Trenton Fire talkgroups are multicast on 460.575/103.5 and that should come in better than the actual TRS.

I'd also try Somerset Fire-Hi on 154.310, Somerset pages with 100.0 but Mercer directly pages Montgomery #2 and Rocky Hill into Mercer County with PL=82.5. If you're more interested in action than proximity then you can add Somerset's trunked system -- most of it is analog and it should come in well too.

If you can fill-in PLs/DPLs and channel assignments for any of the unconfirmed BMS channels, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for all of the info. I will add the BMS freq in as well and will work on the channel assignments in the next couple of days and will post when populated.

Thanks,

James
