I have been buzzed 3 times tonight by what sounds like a single engine prop plane. It shows up as Mlat when near me, but only gives speed and altitude. And that is 263 knots at 1500 feet. It has been running a pattern that seems to head towards Donaldson base as I lose him . Low high speed flight, cooking for a single engine plane and staying low to avoid radar.

No tail number just speed and altitude when it would show up. Checked the Dacusville and Travelers Rest facebook pages and I was not alone in hearing it. My best guess would be a c-17 out of Donaldson Base. Awful low for a plane that big in residential areas.

My ADS-B was showing 263 knots air speed.

There are many different speeds. Most of the time, ADS-B will not show you indicated speed (IAS), unless it's a commercial aircraft, some business jets, large military aircraft, etc. What you are seeing is likely the ground speed, which would almost definitely put it 250 kt IAS or below.

Meh, I've seen plenty bust 250 under 10k, its more like 250 under 3k...lol.. Tho its surprising to see one that fast that low at 1500 feet. 1500 feet at 250+ They weren't inside an approach envelope speed. Somebody was buzzing around quick
