Valley Mills, pop. 1200, has a small town police force of 4 officers (including the Chief of Police) and a very active traffic enforcement program through town along TX-6. The FCC lists 6 VHF-Hi (PW) frequencies but I heard nothing while passing through a couple of times over the holidays.

Have you tried the RR frequency database, I think it has them listed as both analog and p25 analog.

Next time you go through there, take a look at the antenna/s that are on the squad car. The type of antenna will give you a good idea of where to start. In my area, the SO does the dispatch for the entire county, including police, fire, and EMS. Looks like Bosque County SO uses 155.250 for dispatch.

Next time through the area I'll see if I can get a close call hit from one of their patrol cars... Thanks for all your responses.

I know I've heard McLennan County SO reference a lot of things in Valley Mills on HOTTRS (Valley Mills is actually in both Bosque and McLennan counties). Likely they are still VHF holdouts (such as Bellmead) but with the rumored future expansion plans to expand the HOTTRS I wouldn't be surprised to see a 800 migration in the future (such as many other cities closer to Waco have done).

FCC has an active license listed on 154.815 MHz (I'm guessing the uplink is 155.850 MHz) with the only emissions designator being for NFM.

Point of Contact for the licensing side is Sheila Crowe at Wear Radio (which was absorbed by Consolidated Telecom Services in 2008ish) and the location was closed shortly after Bearcom acquired CTS in 2016.
