Heard a pilot on one of the Unicom frequencies discussing this with an airport. Looked it up and WOW...

There are three more parts in the DI NOTAM Service if anyone is interested. I wouldn't want to be a pilot stumbling into this area by accident...

Naval air station, likely some weapns testing. If not, maybe an un announced POTUS stopover.
Realy, airmen should get the full scope before flying around Jacksonville.
Who is FDC 4/1654 ? that should be a clue.

Probably the President, or Vice, will be in that area on that day. It could also be an event, security concern or training exercise.

Could be a training event in Jacksonville. This is from three years ago.

Looks more like weapons testing or some secure ops.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that the USG would shoot you out of the sky for entering a training area or event. Maybe the Navy is trying out new, improved equipment?

I am not too sure of that. I worked with many guys who would take orders quite literally and enforce them black and white. For myself I would just follow the NOTAM and avoid any fun and games.

There's always someone flying their Cessna where they shouldn't. I expect 121.500 MHz may see some traffic in that area. Watch the play-by-play as well during that time via ADSBexchange.com or your favorite source.

"Cessna N997SE you are in a restricted area. Change course immediately to heading one eight zero degrees. You are in danger of being fired upon by the U.S. Navy".

One can just about guarantee that some fool who has been flying for decades in his Bonanza will stumble into the area and not see the intercept, the gestures, and assume that flare release is a part of an airshow greeting.

The FAA needs to have a mobile license revocation unit active in the vicinity for these 'pilots' when the USSS and DoD are done interrogating them.
