Jesus, just because someone can do a callsign lookup does not mean we should be posting all of that info on here

Why not? It's public information, just like any other FCC data. If he wants to remain anonymous, he shouldn't post his callsign.

Because if he wants to post his address, he can do so but none of us should do it. If someone had a deal go bad on here and someone posted his address, the mods would remove it as they should do here if the person who posted it does not do it himself.

By using his callsign, he has already posted his address here - in every message he wrote.

No, his has not. He has listed his callsign which people can lookup via various websites to find his address. There is a difference.

I agree with Grog.
I don't think the FCC should post addresses either.
Just callsign, name and city.
People make up usernames here to remain semi-anonymous.
Posting your callsign is just plain dumb IMO.
You'll never see mine posted.

When a ham posts his callsign, he knows it can be looked up by anyone and that he is effectively posting his full name and address.

Posting your callsign is just plain dumb IMO.
Why? Because it's the same as posting your name and address? Or is there some other reason?

So what was the pressing reason you just HAD to post all jerri's info? It has nothing to do with the OP's question, nobody here requested it, and nobody has a problem with jerri. Matter of fact, jerri happens to be a pleasant soft-spoken and helpful member here.
You just had to show your "amazing info getting prowess" didnt you, superspy?
If I were you I would delete jerri's info.

slicer,
Why do I think it's dumb to post your callsign.
There are over 180,000 members on this site.
Some of whom may not be as mentally stable as others.
Start a thread or add a post they may not agree with and it really pisses them off.
Check QRZ, get your address and next thing you know they strap on a diaper and head across the country to your house where you and your FAMILY live.
And it can happen.

Privacy in this World is a rare commodity, no sense in giving it away more than it is.

WA1CRZ,
I am proud of my callsign.
I just don't think the FCC or any other site should post your address.
Like I posted before: callsign, name and city....nothing more.

WA1CRZ, You should be proud of your callsign, but you would be even more proud if it was valid.

Jerri is a woman. I use my callsign here on RR. In my lead line, my county is posted. I've talked into Europe, South America, Africa, and Japan. It's my POV plate. I worked hard to get the license and am proud of displaying it. Now, if I posted my SSN, that would be a different thing. The only paranoia I see, is when states, counties and cities go P-25 encrypted.
