Here's my question: I just programmed a Kenwood TK-353 to monitor the Town of East Fishkill Trunked system (LTR)

My PD talkgroups work great, I am not getting anything on the patch from 155.415 DCSO polling. Can anyone confirm if the patch is presently in use? I know they recently had a pl/dpl change.

I even went so far as to program it in a separate system, because it does technically have a different home repeater. But still no love.

My goal is to have one "local" portable to cover the area, as far as fire and PD. Still carrying a second portable to do EMS, DCSO and NYSP and all the other agencies stuck in VHF land.

Any help appreciated.

Disregard, I had outdated info on the talk group. This site had it correct NF2G had it outdated.

Works perfectly now.

And of course you are sending me feedback so I can update it, right?

I was going to take some time and map out the rest of the system ie the commercial users. but for the time being:

on this page

NF2G - New York

You have the DCSO patch as 0-01-163

it is actually 0-03-091 confirmed today.

0-03-093 was logged - E Fishkill PD car replying to a 911 poll. The LCN for the frequencies was confirmed correct on NF2G, wrong on RR database. Four new unknown talkgroups were logged but they were either just key-ups or single transmissions that could not be identified. I will continue to run IDtracker for another day or two to try to identify the unknown groups.

There are no commercial users on E Fishkills system. BTW the trunk group for the DCSO patch is fluid, they sometimes change it for no reason, other times it's because of a service problem. They have moved it between channel 1 and 3 a few times already. Same talkgroup just different home channel, Because of Danbury PD being on channel 5, that channel is very seldom used. They also have talkgroups on another commercial system, located on Depot Hill, in the event of a total failure, which has happened twice. There are also private groups for other town users. Some use rolling code voice inversion scrambling. Ok, I just looked in my radio and I have the DCSO patch as 0-03-163. If they have changed it it's news to me.

I have been running ltr analyzer on the system for a week now on and off.

I have only logged PD1, DCSO patch and The Hwy or streets group. I will report further if I get any different hits.

Radioman when you say channel do you mean logical channel or talkgroup? On an LTR system the system is designed to change channels or frequencies seamlessly. For instance if DCSO is transmitting, and then someone at hwy keys up the transmission will go to the next available channel or frequency. So for a system this idle "for the most part" it is rare to see them use more than two frequencies at a time. However I have logged instances where that has happened.

After some on and off scanning I have logged some interesting hits.

03-001, 03-112, 03-093

Since I leave LTR analyzer running unattended I have no idea what these talkgroups might be. I would guess that 001 is probably radio repair.

The others maybe private groups on the system.
