I've ordered an ICOM R-3 receiver with screen capable of monitoring wireless camera systems. Specifically what I'm wanting to do is tinker with placing a low $ battery operated camera on a balloon and launching it to receive the video from the sytem.
I have noticed many of the cities around central arkansas are using wireless traffic cameras -- has anyone attempted to monitor them, if so any ideas on the frequencies they are using?
Also, for media shots -- are the media feeds from remotes such as a news van or the KATV helicopter receivable? The receiver has a receive range up to 2.5 ghz = anyone know what the frequency is for the video feed from these media outlets?
