Just wondering is there anyone out there that monitors any radio communications in Vermont? Not much action here in this forum!

WA2BLM said:YES SIR! I personally listen to scanners. I live in Barre VT. I have recently even set up an online scanner through http://www.capecod.net and there is another online scanner located at iwww.incidentbroadcast.net that is entitled "Upstate New York" located in Washington Co. NY which covers parts of the Rutland area. I also believe that there is a third online scanner devoted mostly to aviation in the Burlington area!
Therefore, there shouldn't be any excuses that a person doesn't have a scanner to listen to reports that the local cows have gotten out or that there is an accident on the local roadways, etc.![]()
It might not be as busy as NYC or other metropolitan cities but we certainly have a few interesting incidents to warrant having fun listening -- don't we guys!

For the life of me I can not find the "Upstate New York" scanner feed at the incedentbroadcast website.

Can't we find people to cover the area around Addison County and the Southern part (that is not covered by the the aforementioned online scanner which I think is just the VT State Police dispatched out of Rutland? As I said, I have a 92 y/o mother in Bridport, but there is no high-speed internet there, only dialup, but there has to be others perhaps in NY on the other side of Lake Champlain.
Likewise there is a need for someone to cover the St. Albans/Burlington area.
As I said, Scott's system is FREE and is all volunteer. He helped me get my system up and running and I am sure that anyone in Vermont or NH or someone who lives elsewhere but can hear these areas would be welcomed. So guys, if you have a high-speed internet connection DSL, Cable, etc. dust off one of your old scanners so we all can hear what you hear!
