Where I work, we gave away (about 9 years ago) a pile of Icom IC-F1020 VHF and 2020 UHF radios a few years back. These went to local ham radio and search and rescue people in the area.
Now these are showing up for sale and on local ads, since narrow band requirements render them useless in the commercial sector.
So does anyone still use these radios in the 2014 post wide-band era?
They were a great radio and could be had with various option boards, making then even more useful. I know some cab companies used to use them in my area.
I still have a couple, I may have to move from commercial use, or get rid of.
